Community members with Type 2 diabetes or those at risk for the disease can still sign up for Oswego Health’s free class taught by the health system’s nurse educators.
The Fulton Medical Center will host the six-week class on Wednesdays, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. starting January 10th through February 14th.
This program is designed to help participants improve their health status and better manage their Type 2 Diabetes. Topics covered include healthy eating, menu planning, preventing low blood sugar, physical activity, strategies for dealing with sick days, dealing with difficult emotions, among others. Participants will also learn goal setting techniques, decision making skills and communication skills.
