Students at Oswego Health MASH camp to learn CPR thanks to Menter Ambulance Donation

Students who attend Oswego Health’s upcoming MASH Camp will learn how to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), as part of the hands-on activities the camp offers as a way to introduce healthcare careers to young adults.

            The two-day camp will be held August 2nd and 3rd at Oswego Hospital for students who are entering the eighth and ninth grades. Supporting the purchase of the CPR kits are Menter Ambulance Service and a grant from the NYS Department of Health.

            In the photo from left are Paul Vandish, Oswego Health Director of Risk Management;

Dawn Smith, Oswego Health  Volunteer/Clinical Support Coordinator, who oversees the MASH Camp program; Zach Menter, of Menter Ambulance; Valerie Favata, Oswego Health Chief Nursing Officer; and Dana Oliver, of Menter Ambulance. Missing from the photo was Margaret Beers, American Heart Association training center coordinator, who will lead the CPS instruction.
