Family Nurse Practitioner Judith Stallings joins Oswego Health Cardiology Team

Oswego Health’s cardiology team welcomes Family Nurse Practitioner Judith Stallings to its medical practice in suite 280 of the Oswego Health Services Center.

Stallings joins the health system with extensive cardiac care experience. Prior to working at Oswego Health, she served as the coordinator at the Marcus Heart Valve Center-Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta. She also was previously employed by Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta in several cardiology capacities, including education coordinator, clinical coordinator for cardiovascular services and as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.

She earned her Masters and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Sparking her interest in a career that provides care to those with cardiovascular issues was her family’s strong history of heart disease. She lost a brother at a young age to the disease, while a second sibling at age 51, underwent quadruple bypass heart surgery.

Stallings adds that she pursued her nurse practitioner degree so that she could provide more one-on-one care to her patients. “I want to make an impact in my patient’s lives, and assist them in improving their heart health,” she said.

Stallings is a member of the Preventive Cardiology Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.  She was a nominee for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution’s Nurse of the Year Award.

Stallings provides cardiovascular care along with Thomas Grady Jr., MD, and Physician Assistant David Downey. The office can be reached by calling 315-349-5752.
