Springside at Seneca Hill's knitting club donates handmade blankets to Oswego County Hospice

Springside at Seneca Hill’s knitting club has once again donated its handiwork to Friends of Oswego County Hospice.

Members of the group have given to the local hospice organization their handmade blankets and lap blankets in memory of Inger Stern, a club member who passed away recently. “She was a member who was well thought of and we wanted to recognize Inger through our donation this year,” said Sharon Figiera. “We also hope our donated blankets will let the hospice patients know we are thinking of them as well.”

Springside’s knitting club also supports other community groups, such as the Salvation Army, Human Concerns and a couple of area military organizations. Community members can purchase hand knit items made by club members at Springside’s Soup Lovers events held the second Wednesday of each month from October through April. The proceeds from the sale are used to support club donations.
