Oswego Health General Surgeons to provide Ask the Doctor Program

Community members can learn firsthand about Oswego Health’s general surgeons and the procedures they provide during an Ask The Doctor program to be held at 6 p.m. March 29th at GS Steamers Restaurant in Oswego.

The four general surgeon presenters are Dawn Holman, MD; Aleksandr Sokolovsky, D.O., Jai Singh, MD; and Theresa Ruddy, MD, M.P.H. Serving as the evening’s emcee will be Allison A.N. Duggan, MD, Oswego Hospital’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, who is also a general surgeon.

Those attending the informative presentation will have the opportunity to watch a video allowing them to see inside one of Oswego Hospital’s large, state-of-the-art operating rooms.

Each presenter will provide a concise overview of the surgical services they provide. While all four surgeons will discuss general and laparoscopic procedures, Dr. Holman will offer information on breast surgeries; Dr. Ruddy will talk about colorectal surgeries, which she specializes in providing, and Dr. Singh will discuss advanced hernia repairs.

There will be plenty of time for audience questions. “During this program, community members can meet our highly skilled surgeons who provide great care close to where they live,” said Dr. Duggan. “We are fortunate to have this team and of course, our surgery center has all the advanced technology they need to ensure safe, efficient care.”

The Ask The Doctor Forum is a free presentation sponsored by the Oswego Health Community Development Office. The Ask The Doctor Forum is designed to create an open dialogue between healthcare providers/professionals and interested members of the greater Oswego County community.

Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling 349-5500.
