The Mindfulness Practice Group is run by Patrick McFalls, LCSW-R. It is an educational, as well as experiential process. Participants will learn to observe thoughts, feelings, and sensations as an ongoing flow of events that do not necessarily need to be acted upon. Mindfulness practice promotes being in the present moment as opposed to dwelling on the past and being consumed by worry for the future.
Mindfulness Group Participants will meet for five weeks on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Pre-evaluation is required. Please call 315-326-4100.
Pre/Post Mindfulness Scale will be used to assess participant’s ability to be more attentive to the present. Participants will be provided with additional instructional CD’s to continue on with Mindfulness Practice at the conclusion of the five weeks.
