Beta Tau Epsilon Fraternity Recognizes Oswego Health Lakeside Heart Center with Plaque

Members of the former SUNY Oswego’s Beta Tau Epsilon recently visited Oswego Health Lakeside Heart Center to present a plaque recognizing the social fraternity’s commitment to the facility.

Members of the social fraternity gather each June as part of the college’s yearly class reunions and as part of their own activities make donations to the Lakeside Heart Center, as a way of recognizing members who have passed away from heart- related conditions. The group further funds this Oswego Health program to support the community where its members attended college.

Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center is located in the Kingsford Professional Building, 177 West Fourth St. in Oswego, and provides cardiac rehabilitation to community members that have recently experienced a cardiac event.

The Lakeside Heart Center program has two primary goals. The first is to help people physically and emotionally recover from their cardiac event. The second goal is to prevent future heart problems. These two goals are met through individual educational sessions, as well as structured exercise classes, supervised by specially-trained nurses.
