Oswego Hospital Patients go home with their first meal

A former rehab patient at The Manor at Seneca Hill said he was paying it forward by coordinating a car show at the healthcare facility on a recent evening.

Chip Pelton, who took advantage of The Manor’s rehabilitation program two years ago following knee replacement surgery, organized the event.  The featured cars ranged from a 1934 Ford Sedan Delivery and a small block super modified car that races at the Oswego Speedway, to a 2006 Corvette.

“We’re just a bunch of car guys doing something nice for the community,” he said. “The car owners just really enjoy their cars and showing them off.” The cars paraded in front of The Manor as Pelton described each vehicle. The drivers then parked their cars, giving the residents and their families an opportunity for a close-up look.

This is the third car show Pelton has organized at The Manor. “This is just awesome to me and it’s my way of paying it forward.”
