FREE Healthy Living classes offered at Oswego Hospital

To help residents improve their health status, Oswego Health is offering free workshops developed by Stanford University.

The healthy living classes will be held on Mondays, starting May 9th and ending June 20th, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Oswego Hospital’s medical affairs conference room. Class will not be held May 30th in observance of the Memorial day holiday.

This evidenced-based program is designed to help those with any chronic disease, such as arthritis, heart disease, osteoporosis or diabetes to improve their health status through its living healthy workshops. The workshops will cover nutrition and exercise, as well as how to get support, deal with pain and fatigue and talk with your physician and family members about your condition. Participants will learn goal setting techniques and establish a step-by-step plan to improve their health.

Those taking part in the program will be provided a free workbook and healthy snacks at each class session.
