OH and Menter Ambulance Services offer Senior Safety Tips

Oswego Health and Menter Ambulance Services have teamed up to provide senior safety seminars at local senior facilities.

The senior safety program was recently held at locations in Oswego, Fulton and Hannibal including, St. Luke’s Apartments, Simeon Dewitt Apartments, Towpath Towers, and Meadowbrook Manor.

At the presentations, the seniors were provided a helpful tool that readily makes their medical history and list of medications available to emergency responders, if they are summoned to a senior’s home. Oswego Health and Menter Ambulance Service developed medication forms where seniors can list their prescribed medications. The medication form can then be placed in a folder that with the help of a magnet is placed on the senior’s refrigerator. In the event they need to call an ambulance, all their medical information can be found in one convenient location for use by first responders.
