Eagle Beverage supports Oswego Health's Breast Cancer Program

Eagle Beverage supported Oswego Health’s breast cancer Navigation program through its recent PINKTOBERFEST initiative.

The local beverage distributor sold 39 kegs of pink beer to establishments located in the Oswego, Auburn and Watertown areas, raising nearly $900 for the local breast cancer Navigation program. “We have a number of employees whose families are impacted by breast cancer and we felt it was an important cause to support at Oswego Health,” said Dan Dorsey Jr.

The donated funds will support and provide education for those involved with the Oswego Health breast cancer Navigation program. This free program provides a certified breast health navigator, who is a registered nurse that guides and supports patients through the challenges of having breast cancer. Along with this program, Oswego Health facilitates the Caring and Sharing breast cancer support group that meets in the Fulton Medical Center's Conference Room the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  For more information, please contact Lori Greeney at 349-5513.

“We are grateful for Eagle Beverage’s support, which will assist community members needing these services,” said Brenda LaMay, Oswego Health Director of Community Health Services.
