Members of the IBEW Local 43’s apprentice classes recently stopped by Oswego Hospital’s Maternity Center to deliver baby items for new families.
According to Richard Shopland, one of the full-time instructors, the class collects bottles and cans throughout the year as part of the IBEW’s Cans for Kids program. The funds are then used to purchase items needed by six area hospitals and the Rescue Mission.
The IBEW representatives who visited the hospital are all residents of Oswego County.
